Istanbul Kent University, which accepted its first students in the 2017 – 2018 academic year, was founded by the Unimpeded Education Foundation (ENEV). Built at the center of Istanbul, preserving the architecture of the historic German Hospital in Taksim, Istanbul Kent University aims to raise talented, self-confident world citizens who can compete in national and international fields.

In addition to education and research, students are offered a fulfilling university life where they can realize themselves with academic and cultural activities such as seminars, panels, symposiums scientific discussions, spring festivals, exhibitions and concerts. At the Campus: Career and Development Center Lifelong Learning Center Dentistry Research and Application Center R&D and Project Management Office Student Clubs.

With the purpose of a multilingual, multinational, multicultural campus, Istanbul Kent University is home to undergraduate and graduate international students from 16 different countries. In addition to the “Internationalization at Home” strategy, cooperation agreements are signed with the world’s leading universities in order to train internationally competent graduates. Thanks to the Erasmus + Program and other international collaborations, our students will be able to benefit from opportunities such as Learning Mobility, Internships Abroad, Double / Joint Diploma Programs, International Summer Schools and Academic Events at the universities which we have an agreement with.

  1. Conditional Offer Letter will be sent to the applicant’s e-mail within a week after the application is evaluated and approved. Conditional Offer Letter has validity for 1 week. Deposit payment is required to be made by the applicant in order to receive the Official Acceptance Letter.

This non-refundable deposit will be considered as a guaranty of student’s intent to register at Istanbul Kent University. The conditionally accepted students should pay the amount of deposit mentioned in the conditional acceptance letter and send the receipt to international@kent.edu.tr. This payment will be deducted from the tuition fee at the time of the official registration.

Please indicate your Name and Reference Number in the description part during the payment process.

2. Once the deposit payment is made, the applicant will receive the Official Acceptance Letter.

Alongside the Official Acceptance Letter, we will be sending the Visa Support Letter to the embassy you’re applying to, so it could be an assistance to you with the Student Visa Procedure.

Visa and Residence Permit

Newly admitted foreign undergraduate and graduate students must receive a student visa from the nearest Turkish embassy in their country of residence by submitting their admission letters.

These visas are usually valid for one month after arrival in Turkey, and students must register in the university within this month. A residence appointment is made for students by our International Student Office.

Students should not miss the date and time of their residence appointment; otherwise, they will have to make another appointment and this appointment may be available only months later.

If the country is exited without a residence permit, the student must return with a new “student visa”.

If the student is dismissed from school, freezes registration, is granted a leave of absence, or is arrested or convicted, the residence permit for study purposes is canceled.

Important: YOU MUST ARRANGE A RESIDENCE EXTENSION APPOINTMENT 2 MONTHS BEFORE YOUR RESIDENCE PERMIT EXPIRES. OTHERWISE, YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE COUNTRY INSTEAD OF RECEIVING A PENALTY.

The documents required for residence are as follows:

1. Online application form
2. 4 biometric photos (taken in last 6 months with a white background)
3. A valid passport and copy (the page where the ID information is and treated pages should be coppied)
4. Declaration of sufficient financial resources during education (Must be declared during online application. Students whose expenses are paid by a governmental authority should state this issue to the migration management. The governmental authority could ask for some supporting documents.)
5. Birth Certificate (for those who are younger than 18)
6. Health insurance (Insurance period should cover the residence permit period. You can apply for General Health Insurance conducted by the Social Security Institution or you can have a private health insurance. Those who have a health insurance valid in Turkey based on a bilateral agreement do not need to have a health insurance)
7. Tax Number
